On Wednesday, November 3, 2021, Manafort Brothers received the 2021 Arthur W. Gruhn Excellence in Construction Award for the Historic Preservation of the Newtown Turnpike Bridge in Westport, CT. This bridge is one of the many historically significant bridges along the Merritt Parkway and as part of CTDOT Project No. 158-207/211 Merritt Parkway Improvements Project, Manafort was required to perform Architectural Concrete Rehabilitation and Restoration to bring the bridge back to its original as built condition. The Project Team was present to receive the award for this intricate and challenging bridge restoration work.
